CMLRRP 2.0, the 2nd Phase of Chief Ministers Local Road Rebuild Project is being implemented with a vision to improve road infrastructure in Local Self Government on a war foot basis. An amount of 1000 Crore was allocated in State Budget 2024-25. Based on which the project was evolved and an initial circular was published for the guidelines for implementation of the project.
As per the circular list of roads to be included in the project shall be prepared in the priority basis and to be submitted by concerned MLA’s to the Finance Department and Administrative Sanction is issued by the Local Self Government Department based on the availability of allocated fund in Budget.
The construction and maintenance of local roads which connects the important roads, schools, colleges, hospitals, tourist destinations etc and that roads which was not restored as a part of JJM Phase – I are given the top most priority. Roads currently within their Defect Liability Period are not eligible for inclusion under this scheme.
The quality of the works taken under this scheme will be checked by District Level Quality Monitoring Committee comprising of an External Technical Expert (retired Superintending Engineer / Executive Engineer of LSGD/KPWD/any other Govt Engineering organisations/PSUs) and the Implementing officer.
Each road constructed or renovated under the scheme will be a model of the projects implemented by LID & EW.
